Dr. Abbey Johnson - Veterinarian

Growing up in a veterinary family, Dr. Abbey Johnson developed a passion for veterinary medicine early on.

Some of her favorite childhood memories include riding along with her father, a veterinarian, on ambulatory farm calls—experiences that sparked her lifelong dedication to the profession. She formally started working at her father’s veterinary practice when she was sixteen.

Dr. Johnson grew up in Trussville, Alabama. She attended Auburn University for her undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science with a concentration in Pre-Medicine. She earned her DVM degree and graduated summa cum laude at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025. Though she has spent most of her life living in Alabama, Dr. Johnson is no stranger to the state of Florida. She completed a two-month preceptorship at a small animal veterinary hospital in Fort Lauderdale prior to graduating veterinary school. Her special interests include internal medicine, animal nutrition, medical oncology, and ultrasonography.

In her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys reading, baking, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors accompanied by her Golden Retriever, Forrest.
